How we research and verify listings
Our standards for what we list, where our information comes from, how we label it and how we fix mistakes.
Last updated Oct 24, 2026
What we list
We list car-related events that anyone can attend or that are open to the motor trade, as long as we can verify that the event exists, where it takes place and when. That includes:
- Car shows, Cars & Coffee and cruise nights, including regular weekly and monthly meets
- International and regional auto shows and trade shows
- Classic car fairs, swap meets and autojumbles, concours d'elegance and collector car auctions
- Car festivals and major motorsport weekends that car fans travel for
We don't list private gatherings, events that promote illegal street racing, or events we can't verify.
Where our information comes from
In order of preference, we use:
- The organizer: their official website, press releases, ticketing pages and announcements
- The venue's event calendar and official tourism boards
- Reputable motoring media and local news coverage
- Event listing sites, only when nothing better is available. These listings are always marked as unconfirmed
Every event page has a Sources section linking to the pages its facts came from, and shows when the listing was last checked. We write all descriptions in our own words; we don't copy organizers' text or photos.
What the labels mean
- No label: the organizer has published these dates.
- Dates unconfirmed: the dates come from third-party listings and the organizer hasn't confirmed them yet. Check the official website before you travel.
- Dates TBA / expected: the event happens every year, but the next dates haven't been announced. We show the month it's usually held instead of guessing a date.
- Every Sunday, first Saturday of the month, etc.: a regular meet. The next date updates automatically.
- Verified organizer: we've confirmed the listing directly with the organizer.
- Featured: a paid placement. It affects where a listing appears, never its content.
Prices, hours and other details
Ticket prices and opening hours change from year to year. When the current year's details aren't published yet, we show the most recent ones and say which year they're from, for example “2026 price”. Always confirm prices with the organizer before you buy.
Photos
We only use photos we have the right to use: photos supplied by organizers, our own, or openly licensed photos (such as from Wikimedia Commons). Every photo is credited with its author and licence. Events without a suitable photo show our own artwork instead.
Tools we use
We use software, including AI tools, to help gather, organize and draft listings and guides. Facts are checked against the sources cited on each page, and the people behind CarShow Atlas are responsible for everything we publish.
Keeping listings up to date
We recheck listings as events approach and whenever organizers announce changes. Each event page shows when it was last checked. If an event is postponed or cancelled, we update the listing rather than deleting it, so anyone who saved it sees the change.
Corrections
If something is wrong or out of date, please report a correction, ideally with a link to the organizer's announcement. We aim to fix errors within two working days. Organizers can also contact us to update or verify their listing.
Independence
CarShow Atlas is independent. Organizers, car makers and advertisers can't pay to change dates, prices, descriptions or the order of results outside of clearly labelled featured placements. Read more about us.
