Privacy policy

We collect as little as possible. Here's exactly what that is.

Things you send us

When you use the contact form or list an event, we store what you enter (such as your name, email address, the event details and your message) so we can review it and reply. Organizer email addresses are never shown on the site. We don't sell or share this information, and we don't send marketing email unless you've asked us to.

Saved events and your location

Events you save and the location you choose for “near me” searches are stored in your own browser, not on our servers. If you share your device location, it's used to show nearby events and isn't stored by us. On the “near me” page we also estimate your approximate area from your internet connection (via our hosting provider) to show nearby events straight away; this isn't stored either. You can clear these at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure how fast pages load. They don't use cookies and don't identify individual visitors; we only see aggregated statistics.

Third-party services

  • Hosting: the site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages securely.
  • Content: listings and messages are stored with Sanity, our content management system.
  • Maps and photos: maps load from OpenFreeMap and some photos load from Wikimedia Commons. Like any website, these services receive your IP address when your browser loads their content.
  • External links: organizer websites and ticket sellers have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete any information you've sent us. Contact us and we'll respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
