About Daytona 500 2027
The 69th Great American Race opens the NASCAR Cup Series season.
The Daytona 500 is NASCAR's biggest race and the opening round of the Cup Series season: 200 laps of the 2.5-mile high-banked superspeedway. For 2027 it moves off its traditional Presidents' Day weekend to Sunday 21 February.
The race has sold out repeatedly in recent years. Packages that include the infield UNOH Fanzone and pre-race access let fans see the garages and get close to the drivers before the start.
