About Essen Motor Show 2026

Europe's festival of tuning, motorsport and classics: about 500 exhibitors and a new car market. Preview day on 27 November.

The Essen Motor Show is Europe's big festival of performance, tuning, motorsport and classic cars. Around 500 exhibitors from 13 countries fill more than 110,000 square metres at Messe Essen for nine days at the start of the German winter.

The halls are organised as themed worlds: performance and racing, tuning and lifestyle, motorsport, youngtimers and classics. A new Car Market in Hall 1A has space for 146 vehicles from dealers and private sellers.

Special exhibitions for 2026 include a celebration of Route 66's centenary and 80 years of the Vespa in Hall 2, and a collection of original Fast & Furious film cars in Hall 1. The motorsport arena runs live demonstrations throughout the show.
